Minimum Requirements

To be eligible for a post-graduation work permit, you must:

  • Have completed a program of study that lasted at least eight months and that led to a degree, or diploma certificate

  • Have maintained full-time student status in Canada during each academic session of the program or programs of study you have completed and submitted as part of your post-graduation work permit application

  • Apply for a work permit within 180 days of when it was confirmed that you completed your program
